The Lifestyle Edit | Natalie JoosWe came across this incredible shoot starring Natalie Joos shot by the uber talented photographer Sandra Semburg and we couldn’t help but share it. Doesn’t it make you excited about finally getting out of winter clothes? We’ve long been following the style of Joos. Over the years she’s become a mainstay on street style blogs and with photographers like Tommy Ton and Scott Schuman thanks to her playful, vintage-inspired ensembles.

Born and raised in Belgium, Joos’ career began straight after college when she landed as a job as PA to Glenn O’Brien, better known as American GQ’s ‘The Style Guy’. Shortly afterwards she was introduced to photographer Craig McDean (who has shot editorial for the likes of Vogue, i-D and The Face to name a few). In Belgium she had studied political sciences with a major in journalism so writing had always been in her plan but McDean encouraged her to manage his studio and pursue her talent for model casting and that’s where she got her first taste for working with models and developing them into big names. Daria Werbowy and Natalia Vodianova are just a handful of the top-notch models she knew from the start of their careers. In 2013 she jumped ship, setting up her own casting agency, crafting a name for herself as the go-to women for talent spotting, lending her eye to runways and presentations for the likes of Hugo Boss, Helmut Lang and Phillip Lim.

For the past five years, she has been editing her blog, Tales of Endearment. Initially the site was just about the showcasing the kind of feminine and playful vintage pieces she’s become synonymous with but now it features shoots in the homes of industry tastemakers along with stories on life, music and lifestyle too. It’s her candid dating tales that we love the most though.
